The VB&SA (the Victorian Snooker & Billiards Association Incorporated), was established in 1927. Its charter is to run the Sport of Snooker & Billiards in Victoria. To run Tournaments and events as per our Calendar of Events, to operate week to week inter club competition in Billiards and Snooker. To foster the sport in Victoria and to organise and develop the sport at a junior level. To Co-ordinate the sport in accordance with the Australian Billiards & Snooker Council.

 

Our week to week competition is:

 

The "Pennant Snooker" season is run over 18 weeks in the first half of the year on Monday and Wednesday nights. It starts around mid February and finals in July. To participate you must be a member of the VBSA. The competition is graded from "A Premier" through to "D Reserve".

 

The "Billiards and Willis Snooker" season is run over 14 weeks in the second half of the year on Monday and Wednesday nights. It starts around mid August and finals finish early December. To participate you must be a member of the VBSA. There are two competitions run over this period - Premier Billiards A & B Grades and a snooker competition is graded from "A Willis" through to "D Reserve".

 

Premier Teams consist of 6 players and 3 tables are required, Willis and Reserve grades have 4 players and 2 tables are required

 

All matches are played off scratch, Snooker matches consist of 3 frames and Billiards matches are of 80 minutes duration.

 

The VBSA run tournaments from time to time and these will be published on the website as enties are called for, to enter any VBSA run tournament you must be a member of the VBSA, or a member of an affiliate.
